Performs all required procedures in the department while operating specialized equipment. Acts as a competent clinician who provides clinical care in a skilled and effective manner, utilizing appropriate technical and decision-making skills.</p><p>Job Requirements:</p><p>Education and Work Experience:</p><ul><li>Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology: Required</li><li>Experience as a Mammography Technologist: Preferred</li></ul><p>Licenses/Certifications:</p><ul><li>Radiologic Tech (RT) and Mammography Technologist: Required in CA</li><li>American Registry of Radiologic Technologists â€" Radiography (ARRT-R): Required</li><li>American Registry of Radiologic Technologists â€" Mammography (ARRT-M): Required in OR, Preferred in CA and HI</li><li>Basic Life Support (BLS OR HS-BLS OR RQIBLS) certification: Required</li><li>Fluoroscopy license: Preferred in CA</li><li>Venipuncture certification: Preferred in CA</li></ul><p>Facility Specific License/Certifications:</p><ul><li>Mammographic Radiologic Technology (MRT): Required</li></ul><p>Essential Functions:</p><ul><li>Completes patient education regarding the exam while promoting privacy and comfort for the patient. Follows infection control and safety guidelines.</li><li>Performs diagnostic or screening mammogram as ordered. Prepares for and assists the Radiologist in the completion of intricate mammography examinations, including breast biopsies.
