Participates in the research and development of new exam and protocols- Enters the appropriate charges into the EMR accurately for all exams- Ensures that all exams of high quality and available for interpretation in a timely fashion- Follows workflow plan developed by the supervisor and lead technologist- Monitors the equipment performance and takes the appropriate measures to have the problems resolved (i.e. arrange service/repairs)- Consistently demonstrates effective communication, both written and verbal, with all departmental, hospital staff, and vendors- Performs all other duties as assigned or required to ensure efficient operation of the department and quality patient careWORKING CONDITIONS: - Work in an area that can be noisy and have extreme temperature/ humidity variations - Exposure to ionizing radiation - Continuous standing, sitting and lifting - Must be able to lift and move 25 pounds of weight Qualifications- Must have graduated from an approved program in Radiologic Sciences- Must maintain a current Massachusetts state license as a Radiologic technologist- Must maintain a current ARRT registry in Radiologic Sciences- New graduates must obtain ARRT certification within 1 year of start of employment- Must maintain a current BLS- Staff adheres to all I.C.A.R.E. Attends staff meetings, in-services, and maintains appropriate CEU''s in accordance with Massachusetts Radiation Control program and ARRT requirements- Maintains knowledge of location of emergency equipment, code carts and procedures to alert code teams- Mentors and assists in the training of Radiologic Technologist students and new staff in performing Radiologic exams, sterile technique, and proper stocking of supplies in radiographic rooms- Participates in the quality assurance plan for the Diagnostic Imaging program.
