Our Red Oak, Iowa Components Plant specializes in manufacturing PowerFrame® grids, a critical component in automotive battery technology. Tools & Equipment: Required to use hand tools, dies, power fork trucks, scissor lifts, and equipment to perform normal maintenance tasks.

<div>Job TitleMaintenance TechnicianShift7:00 pm to 7:00 am; 2-2-3 scheduleLocationRed Oak, IAWhat we are Looking For:<ul><li>Minimum of 3 years of Industrial Maintenance </li><li>Mechanical Skills and Electrical Repair Knowledge</li><li>Working experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical (480v), and preventive maintenance in a manufacturing  setting</li><li>Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.</li></ul>Responsibilities:<ul><li>Routinely perform preventive maintenance on equipment.</li><li>Must be able to read schematics and blueprints, capable of servicing and operating rectifiers, capable of operating precision hand tools, and electronic equipment.   </li><li>Complete work orders which will involve mechanical, electrical and/or PLC skillsets.</li><li>Ability to troubleshoot equipment to solve problems.</li><li>Ability to communicate effectively and respectfully with peers, operators, and management.</li><li>Know the safety risk assessments and policies to perform work safely. Including wearing all the proper PPE for the job.</li><li>Follow all safety and environmental procedures.</li><li>Be trained to be a First Responder.</li><li>Requires ability to plan and layout work, determine accurate and efficient methods, diagnoses, and corrects difficulties to minimize production interruptions. </li><li>May perform other duties as directed by management.</li><li>Ability to use computer system to update work orders.</li></ul>Tools & Equipment: Required to use hand tools, dies, power fork trucks, scissor lifts, and equipment to perform normal maintenance tasks.About the PlantOur Red Oak, Iowa Components Plant specializes in manufacturing PowerFrame® grids, a critical component in automotive battery technology. Key responsibilities include:<ul><li>Operate casting, rolling mill, press, and lead pot equipment to produce PowerFrame® grids</li><li>Monitor key parameters such as temperature, flow, speed, and product dimensions</li><li>Perform routine maintenance, cleaning, and product changeovers</li><li>Inspect equipment and parts for quality, ensuring conformance to specifications</li><li>Assist maintenance with equipment PMs, repairs, and troubleshooting</li><li>Handle lead safely, following all environmental and safety procedures (LOTO, PPE, hazardous materials handling)</li><li>Train and support new operators to ensure safe, efficient performance</li><li>Document production data and quality checks accurately</li></ul>Qualifications<ul><li>High school diploma or GED preferred not required</li><li>Minimum 1 year of experience in a manufacturing environment</li><li>Basic computer, math, reading, and writing skills</li><li>Comfortable working 12-hour shifts, including weekends and overtime as needed</li><li>Ability to stand, walk, bend, twist, and lift up to 40 lbs.</li><li>Comfortable working in a hot, industrial environment</li><li>Must be able to wear required PPE, including respirator when applicable</li><li>Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety</li></ul>About the PlantOur Red Oak, Iowa Components Plant specializes in manufacturing PowerFrame® grids, a critical component in automotive battery technology.
