Our Personal Care Aides/Caregivers enjoy some excellent benefits: $17.00/hr 1:1 Aide-to-client ratios Set your own schedule and enjoy work-life balance Build your skills with online training and earn CEUs As a Personal Care Aide/Caregiver, here's a big-picture view of what you'll do: Provide the personal care and support seniors need to live safely at home Assist with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, light housekeeping, meal preparation, shopping, transportation and companionship Help with ambulation, transferring and range of motion exercises Provide medication reminders, document their condition and notify a supervisor of any concerns Ensure a safe home environment with unobstructed pathways Participate in activities that bring clients joy such as puzzles, games, reading and hobbies A few must-haves for Personal Care Aides/Caregivers: High school diploma (or equivalent) and active Personal Care Aide certification in GA (Interim can assist with certification) Six (6) months of experience in a healthcare role, preferred Current hands-on CPR/First Aid certification and current TB screening Valid GA driver's license, auto insurance and transportation * Compassionate and helping nature, good communicator and ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Duties include but not limited to, bathing (bed, tub and/or sponge) shower; toiletry, grooming, shaving, dental care, dressing and eating proper nutrition, home management, light housekeeping, ambulation and transfer, taking vital signs, and arranging and accompanying client to the doctor, picking up prescriptions, documentation of client's food and liquid intake and output, medication reminders, change diaper, empty Foley catheter, basic first aid and CPR, range of motion, in-home emergencies, infection control, maintain Client's confidentiality and provide watchful oversight of the Client. The successful candidate must possess the following: a valid Certified Nurse's Aide certification for the State of Georgia; pass a competency assessment (written/practical); at least one (1) year of professional experience; two (2) professional references; CPR/First Aide certification(s); documentation for current TB test; maintain confidentiality; and.
