The manager of operations serves as a clinical resource for the provision of pharmaceutical care and clinical pharmacy services; coordinates all activities related to the Pharmacy & Therapeutics Committee and for formulary management; builds effective relationships with other healthcare professionals and departments within the hospital and system; and promotes clinically rational drug therapy and sound pharmaceutical care through the development of new (or expansion of existing) clinical pharmacy programs, drug therapy policies, and other programs. The pharmacy manager - operations assists the Director of Pharmacy in managing and coordinating, through supervisory personnel, all aspects of pharmacy operations, including managing and mentoring staff, developing and enforcing policies and procedures, assisting with project management, preparing and maintaining accreditation, and accounting for the pharmacy’s overall financial results.
