General Function: Provides skilled mechanical work involving road resting, diagnosis, maintenance, and repair of refuse trucks, medium and heavy-duty trucks over 26,000 lbs., aerial equipment, generators, and large equipment. Must be certified and maintain certifications as required by local, federal, and state laws; this may include, but is not limited to testing required by specific agencies such as ASE (Automotive Service Excellence), Refrigerant Recovery and Recycling (MACS), FEMA (Federal Emergency Management Agency).
