Requirements for additional Pharmacist privileges include one of the following:Certification by the Board of Pharmacy Specialties in one or more recognized practice areas appropriate for the privileges requested (e.g., Pharmacotherapy, Ambulatory Care Pharmacy, et.); or completion of a clinical pharmacy residency or fellowship accredited by the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists or American College of Clinical Pharmacy; or completion of a Post-Graduate Master of Science degree with emphasis in medication. Physical requirements: Prolonged standing and walking; frequent computer and telephone use; manual dexterity for handling medications and pharmacy equipment; ability to read medication labels and patient records; occasional lifting/carrying up to 25 pounds; and ability to bend, reach, and move throughout the pharmacy/clinical setting while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
