Provides for the safe and accurate provision of pharmaceutical care service, including interpreting and evaluating the validity and safety of medication orders and prescriptions written by licensed practitioners; checking for appropriate dosage, drug interactions, allergies, and/or contra-indications for use before dispensing medications; and accurately processing medication order entry/verification. Responsible for the timely and accurate verification of all medication orders and safely prepares medications and other pharmaceuticals for dispensing to patients of BMC, its clinics, and all eligible employees.
