The ideal candidate: Holds a Bachelor's degree in Mine, Geological, or other related Engineering discipline,Demonstrates excellent verbal and written communication skills,Ability to work on-site,And is a self-starter looking to develop and apply their skill set to complex problems.5-7 years experience preferredApplied experience with both surface and underground engineering and/or operations preferredApplied experience with Deswik or other design/planning software packages preferred. This may include but is not limited to: Short-, medium-, and long-range planning for both open-pit and underground mining methods, including close integration with the production geology group to adjust designs and monitor reconciliationDevelopment, analysis, and implementation of capital projects such as permitting designs and infrastructure projects, as requiredDevelopment, analysis, and implementation of continuous improvement projects focused on production rates, mitigating health-and-safety concerns, etc.
