Ability to communicate verbally and in writing; to follow instructions; to establish and maintain effective working relationships with fellow employees and the public; to install, repair and fabricate traffic signs; to read and interpret maps with sign designations; and to operate hydraulic post drivers, hydraulic anchor pullers, generators, hammer drills, power drills, power impact drills, grinders, wrenches, hammers, sledgehammers, shovels, fence post drivers, levels, forklifts, paint stripping machines, propane torches and various power and manual tools and equipment. Inspects signs and road markings for proper visibility; applies and maintains existing paving markings, i.e., crosswalks, railroad crossings, and school crossings; and; Collects and inputs GPS data of all Santa Fe County traffic related devices to include signs, pavement markings, street lighting, etc.
