Provide clinical pharmacology and pharmacotherapy education to dental providers and residents in areas identified by the dental providers (for example, antimicrobial spectrum/coverage, indications for anticoagulant discontinuation, duration of action, and reversal agents, pain management, renal dose adjustment of commonly utilized agents, common and important drug-drug and drug-disease interactions). Perform prospective drug utilization reviews and provide interventions regarding agents prescribed by dentists and to include review for drug interactions, contraindications, renal dosing, cost effective medication prescribing, preventative medication prescribing - such as PPIs to prevent gastropathy when using NSAIDs.
