ATPs work in conjunction with the client, therapist, and physician to ensure that: the chosen product adequately meets the client's medical and functional needs, medical justification is present before products are provided, and that health insurance benefits, and coverage are clearly expressed to clients prior to provision of the desired product. Assists in the timely completion of work orders which may involve, but is not limited to, research of components, calculation and extension of equipment prices, responding to requests for additional information and preparation of quotes for clients, referral sources and insurance companies.
