The physical therapist assistant treats patients under the direction of the licensed therapist and according to the established treatment plan, supervises and delegates tasks to supportive personnel, maintains appropriate records, communicates patient progress to physicians and other health care workers as indicated, meets department productivity expectations, accepts responsibility for personal and professional growth and performs other duties as assigned. Performs reassessments as assigned and according to state and facility guidelines, adjusting treatment plan accordingly : Selects treatment methods appropriate to the patient's diagnosis, age group, physical and emotional status as evidenced by observation and documentation.
