The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing pain conditions, particularly spine and musculoskeletal conditions, and have an interest in identifying appropriate patients for opioid-sparing pain management interventions (epidural steroid injections, nerve blocks, radiofrequency ablations (RFA), peripheral and spinal cord stimulation, minimally invasive lumbar decompression (MILD), among others.) For sports fans, Berkeley is home to the Cal Bears and within easy reach of a number of professional sports teams, including the 2022 National Champions Golden State Warriors, Oakland A's, San Francisco Giants, and San Francisco 49ers.
