This provider is responsible for the inpatient neurosurgery service to include trauma consults and other ER consults as deemed appropriate by the neurosurgeons and spine surgeons, daily rounding on the inpatient neurosurgery services, collaborate with consulting services especially trauma, with in-clinic follow-up for neurosurgery from trauma. Orders or performs routine procedures such as injections, immunizations, suturing (not involving tendons, arteries or nerves) wound care, venous and arterial blood draws, and managing simple conditions produced by infection, trauma or other disease processes.
