p>Inpatient Responsibilities: Participates in daily morning and afternoon rounds Provides daily care, which includes evaluating and managing patients, writing daily progress notes, and formulating/implementing plans Coordinates patient care with other services (endocrinology, internal medicine, neurology, ENT, ID) May perform the following procedures: lumbar punctures, drain removal (Subgaleal, JP, Hemovac), external ventricular drain placement and removal, lumbar drain placement and removal, shunt/Ommaya tapping, nasal endoscopy.
Outpatient Responsibilities:
Provides pre-surgical care, which includes surgical clearance, H&P, and coordination of care with anesthesia, medicine, and inpatient team for complex cases Provides post-operative care, which includes post-operative clinic visits, medication management, pathology follow-up, and coordination of care with consult services Triages patient messages and implements a plan of care Interprets lab and diagnostic tests results and consults with attending physician.
