Inspection of electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and needs for adjustment or repair, as well as to ensure compliance with codes; Interpret and utilize schematic diagrams for trouble shooting and update diagrams as necessary for accuracy; test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using testing devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, ammeters and oscilloscopes, to ensure compatibility and safety of system; Research equipment operation problems, identify cause of primary failure and implement corrective action under supervision. The position requires skills and the ability to maintain and repair various equipment and parts including, but not limited to; switchgears, motor control centers, motors, motor starters, motorized valves, electrical components, programmable logic controllers, wiring, circuits, conduit (for voltages ranging from 120 to 4160, to 13.8 switchgear).
