Working knowledge of occupational safety principles, hazard identification, accident prevention, incident investigation, workers' compensation, risk mitigation, and applicable workplace safety regulations, Texas Workers' Compensation law, OSHA, and other safety and health regulatory agencies, Federal, State, and Local laws and ordinances governing Occupational Safety and Risk Management. Serves as a visible, accessible, and trusted citywide safety resource, building collaborative relationships across all levels of the organization to identify safety needs, address concerns, and develop proactive strategies that promote shared ownership of workplace safety, employee wellness, engagement, and organizational effectiveness.
