Job Title: Purchasing Coordinator (Machinery Indirect)  Department: Purchasing Team Shift: Core business hours are Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm Direct Report: Machinery Purchasing Unit Manager  Type: Exempt; Full-time <h1>About the Purchasing Coordinator position</h1>We are looking for a competent Purchasing Coordinator to perform supportive duties in Machinery/Indirect purchasing (MRO, spare parts, and general supplies, etc.) and Warehousing (monthly auditing processes) for the Purchasing Team.<h2>Purchasing Coordinator responsibilities are:</h2><ul class="editor-list-ul"><li class="editor-listitem" dir="ltr" value="1">Research, select, and purchase Machinery and Indirect (MRO + subsidiary) materials as assigned </li><li class="editor-listitem" dir="ltr" value="2">Check the quality and quantity of Machinery and Indirect (MRO + subsidiary) materials delivered; confirm the price for invoice matching </li><li class="editor-listitem" dir="ltr" value="3">Request for quotations to suppliers; compare prices for Machinery and Indirect (MRO + subsidiary) materials </li><li class="editor-listitem" dir="ltr" value="4">Place orders for Machinery and Indirect (MRO + subsidiary) materials referring to existing contracts and given quotations </li><li class="editor-listitem" dir="ltr" value="5">Manage stock levels for optimum efficiency and continuous improvement </li><li class="editor-listitem" dir="ltr" value="6">GR/IR clearing of all open material PO's </li><li class="editor-listitem" dir="ltr" value="7">Communicate with US Customs & contracted delivery units to complete customs clearance processes in accordance with the legal instructions and internal regulations  </li><li class="editor-listitem" dir="ltr" value="8">Check the documents related to Machinery and Indirect (MRO + subsidiary) material purchasing; ensure accurate bookkeeping in the system in a timely manner </li><li class="editor-listitem" dir="ltr" value="9">Create a monthly cash flow report for the Purchasing team </li><li class="editor-listitem" dir="ltr" value="10">Perform other duties as assigned by management </li></ul><h2>Purchasing Coordinator requirements are:</h2>Education: <ul class="editor-list-ul"><li class="editor-listitem" dir="ltr" value="1">(Required) bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience</li><li class="editor-listitem" dir="ltr" value="2">(Preferred) purchasing management major or advanced degree in a related field</li></ul>Experience: <ul class="editor-list-ul"><li class="editor-listitem" dir="ltr" value="1">(Preferred) previous relevant experience</li><li class="editor-listitem" dir="ltr" value="2">(Preferred) previous experience in the manufacturing industry</li></ul>Language:  <ul class="editor-list-ul"><li class="editor-listitem" dir="ltr" value="1">(Required) good command of written and spoken English</li></ul>Skills & Knowledge:<ul class="editor-list-ul"><li class="editor-listitem" dir="ltr" value="1">Administration and Management - Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources</li><li class="editor-listitem" dir="ltr" value="2">Economics and Accounting - Knowledge of economic and accounting principles and practices, the financial markets, banking, and the analysis and reporting of financial data</li><li class="editor-listitem" dir="ltr" value="3">Customer and Personal Service - Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services.
