Typical work assignments will include: Providing assistance to Assistant United States Attorney (AUSA) on legal automation to facilitate trial preparation and trial presentations; Researching, analyzing legal precedents, and preparing summaries to assist the AUSA in preparation for grand jury or trial; Providing assistance to the litigation team in the courtroom with equipment, set up, and other legal assistance during trials/hearings; Assisting and/or training attorneys and legal support staff in organizing voluminous case information; Providing technical support and assistance in complying with discovery requirements; using various software applications to organize, analyze and present case materials; Utilizing presentation software such as Everlaw, Concordance, Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access, Microsoft PowerPoint, CaseMap; TimeMap; NoteMap, OnCue, and similar software; Performing specialized legal research, preparing a variety of trial related documents, maintaining automated records for assigned cases, and coordinating trial presentations by organizing trial exhibits; Performing various video creation and editing tasks with software such as Adobe Premier and Camtasia for presentation in trial. Specialized Experience is defined as experience performing the following types of duties: Operating litigation support hardware or software (i.e. Everlaw, OnCue, etc.) and performing a variety of routine/non-routine automated support necessary to prepare, organize, index, develop, and manage exhibits, evidence, and data relevant to cases presented before a jury, grand jury or in other legal proceedings, cataloging, organizing, and reviewing and discovery; assisting attorneys, and coordinating with other offices or agencies to complete discovery and with trial preparation and presentation, to include items such as subpoenas, trial exhibits, information requests, pleadings, and correspondence; preparation of trial presentations including a wide range of information system analysis; development, and installation in support of litigation support activities for assigned cases; assisting and/or training attorneys and legal support staff in organizing voluminous case information; and preparing computerized trial presentation programs.
