PhD, MD, or equivalent doctoral degree in biological sciences, demonstrated expertise in molecular and cellular biology techniques, including epigenetic and genome editing, proximity ligation, CUT&Tag, scRNA-seq, spatial transcriptomics and data analysis, and confocal microcopy, demonstrated experiences in vascular biology, epigenetic regulations, retinal degeneration, membrane proteins, and application of nanomedicine, demonstrated skills in animal models of neointimal hyperplasia and atherosclerosis, and experiences in managing a sizable lab while working independently and collaboratively. The successful candidate will design and conduct independent and collaborative research in vascular biology, with an emphasis on molecular and cellular mechanisms underlying cardiovascular disease, lead and contribute to the preparation of peer-reviewed publications, grant applications, and progress reports, supervise and train graduate and undergraduate students and postdoctoral fellows, and ensure compliance with institutional policies and regulatory requirements for laboratory research such as updating animal and biosafety protocols.
