The Department of Biological Sciences focuses on three areas of research and teaching; 1) Cell and Molecular Biology – including biophysics, neuroscience, cell signaling, and developmental biology, and 2) Ecology, Biodiversity – including behavioral ecology, plant-insect interactions, conservation biology, restoration ecology, and evolution and 3) Physiology of Health and Disease including emphasis on human physiology and exercise physiology. Pre-Health Education & Advising provides academic and career advising for students from all majors who are interested in applying to medical, physician assistant, nursing, dental, pharmacy, physical therapy, and other health-related graduate programs.
