Responsibilities: As an Experienced Ford Automotive Technician, you may:Diagnose and repair electrical, drivability, mechanical, and vehicle-system concernsPerform Ford warranty and customer-pay repairsComplete Ford recalls and service campaignsPerform scheduled maintenance and general automotive repairsUse Ford diagnostic equipment, technical resources, and service informationPerform thorough vehicle inspections and identify legitimate repair and maintenance needsDocument diagnostic findings, cause, and correction clearly and accuratelyCommunicate repair needs and additional diagnostic time to Service AdvisorsPerform road tests and quality-control checks as neededComplete required Ford training and continue progressing toward advanced Ford certificationsDepending on your experience and qualifications, opportunities may also include advanced electrical diagnosis, transmission, diesel, and medium-duty repair. Qualifications: We are interested in technicians with:At least two years of professional automotive repair experienceStrong mechanical and troubleshooting skillsElectrical and drivability diagnostic experienceThe ability to perform repairs independently and accuratelyGood repair-order documentation habitsA commitment to quality workmanshipA willingness to continue technical trainingTheir own basic automotive technician toolsA valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record, as road testing customer vehicles is part of the positionFord certification and Ford dealership experience are highly valued, but technicians from other OEM dealerships and experienced independent repair facilities are also encouraged to apply.
