Proficiency with mechanical and electrical hand tools, precision measurement instruments (dial gauges, bore gauges, micrometers), machine shop equipment for fabricating and testing parts, and the ability to work safely within the tight confines of marine engine compartments for extended periods; experience operating forklifts and rigging loads up to 1 ton is a plus. Preferred Requirements: Strong hands-on expertise in diesel marine engine testing, troubleshooting, and overhaul - including deep knowledge of internal combustion engine operation, electronic engine controls, instrumentation, electronics, physics, hydraulics, and pneumatics, combined with the physical properties of fuels, coolants, lubricants, and oils.
