- Manages all associated vendors and professional service providers for assigned projects;
- Provides project management support for district wide facility special projects and ongoing non preservation funded projects as needed;
- Provides support for facility emergencies and emergency preparedness needs;
- Ensures all charter operators impacted by repairs or replacements are properly communicated to and the Capital Project Manager provides overview of construction impacts and expectations;
- Ensures all projects are completed timely and within budget.
- Identifying, documenting, and securing approval for necessary changes in scope;
- Assisting the Executive Director of Capital Improvements in planning, directing, supervising, and controlling the execution of technical, fiscal, and administrative functions of the project or study;
- Assisting in determining the technical skills and staff hours required for successful completion of the project;
- Ensuring that end-user criteria and scope are met by all design disciplines;
- Documenting and distributing minutes for all discussions/meetings between OPSB and the designer(s), contractor(s), and all other involved parties for the project;
- Preparing technical reports and documentation of activities for project management; andObtaining, analyzing, and circulating technical and contractual information to project disciplines; and.
This role requires strong coordination with general contractors, mechanical contractors, field teams, and internal fabrication operations to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
Key Qualifications:
- Experience in construction project management (HVAC, mechanical, or sheet metal preferred).
Strong ability to translate business needs into clear project requirements, managing scope changes through structured processes, and preventing scope creep with proactive communication and documentation. Proven ability to translate stakeholder needs into clear plans, manage expectations, resolve conflicts, and maintain transparent communication throughout the project lifecycle.
p>Bachelor's Degree from a fully accredited college in Business or other closely related field; and a minimum of five (5) years of directly related experience in project management in the construction industry; or an equivalent combination of education and work experience. Ensure project quality control; coordinate all on-site activities including labor, subcontractors, testing, and inspections as applicable; arrange for shop tests, site tests, and training as needed.
