Work closely with the Project Superintendent, Project Scheduler, and Subcontractors to develop a detailed critical path schedule and Earned Value Measurement workbook. Act as the primary resource and point of contact for all internal and external project stakeholders, including inter-company departments, subcontractors, owner/client, engineers, and municipalities.

Overview:
This position will report to our Derwent, Ohio office. The construction Project Manager (PM) is responsible for, and shall exhibit extreme ownership of, all aspects of the assigned projects. The PM position requires a great deal of attention to detail, planning, foresight, a high degree of self-motivation and discipline, high initiative, and trust. The PM’s responsibility begins upon project award and is carried out through project closeout. The PM is responsible for the overall successful completion of multiple construction projects running simultaneously.

Responsibilities:
<ul><li style="margin:0in 0in 0in 0.25in">Promote the company’s safety culture throughout all levels of the organization.</li><li style="margin:0in 0in 0in 0.25in">Develop, with all stakeholders, a comprehensive project execution plan and all other required project specific plans.</li><li style="margin:0in 0in 0in 0.25in">Perform a thorough review and understanding of the project contract documents, and develop a contract reference guide to be used by project stakeholders.</li><li style="margin:0in 0in 0in 0.25in">Perform a thorough review of all drawings, and develop a BOM, pre-fabrication assembly plan, and procurement plan for required project materials, including civil, structural, and mechanical items.</li><li style="margin:0in 0in 0in 0.25in">Develop a subcontracting strategy with the aid of the Senior Project Manager.</li><li style="margin:0in 0in 0in 0.25in">Work closely with the Project Superintendent, Project Scheduler, and Subcontractors to develop a detailed critical path schedule and Earned Value Measurement workbook.</li><li style="margin:0in 0in 0in 0.25in">Coordinate bi-weekly, or weekly, scheduling meetings to review progress and variations to the project schedule, and develop a mitigation strategy when necessary.</li><li style="margin:0in 0in 0in 0.25in">Prepare labor and cash flow forecasts for the life of the project and update throughout the project life-cycle.</li><li style="margin:0in 0in 0in 0.25in">Closely monitor costs and measure performance against the estimate and baseline forecast and provide cost to complete forecasts monthly.</li><li style="margin:0in 0in 0in 0.25in">Review and approval all project related accounts payable.</li><li style="margin:0in 0in 0in 0.25in">Prepare project invoicing utilizing Earned Value, Schedule of Values, Percent Complete, or other methods as specified in the contract.</li><li style="margin:0in 0in 0in 0.25in">Estimate, price and schedule impacts, and negotiate project change-orders in accordance with the contract documents.</li><li style="margin:0in 0in 0in 0.25in">Ensure that all work is performed in accordance with the contract documents.</li><li style="margin:0in 0in 0in 0.25in">Act as the primary resource and point of contact for all internal and external project stakeholders, including inter-company departments, subcontractors, owner/client, engineers, and municipalities.</li><li style="margin:0in 0in 0in 0.25in">Prepare and submit all progress reports as required by the contract or internal project controls requirements.</li><li style="margin:0in 0in 0in 0.25in">Make frequent job-site visits to coordinate with the project superintendent, subcontractors, customer, and other project stakeholders.</li><li style="margin:0in 0in 0in 0.25in">Ensure all project certificates and close-out documents are submitted in accordance with the contract requirements.</li><li style="margin:0in 0in 0in 0.25in">Facilitate post job lessons learned meeting with key project personnel.</li><li style="margin:0in 0in 0in 0.25in">Other duties as assigned.</li></ul>

Qualifications:
<ul><li>Preferred: A two year degree in engineering, construction management or related field experience.</li><li>Preferred: 5 + years of project management experience and a thorough knowledge of the natural gas industry.</li><li>Frequent Travel is required (jobsite visits).</li><li>Ability to prioritize multiple tasks. Excellent communication skills; verbal, written and interpersonal.</li><li>Ability to anticipate problems and use sound judgement and tact in handling confidential and other matters.</li><li>Familiar with reading and understanding construction critical path schedules and earned value measurement.</li><li>Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.</li><li>Demonstrated track record of successful goal achievement.</li><li>Demonstrates the ability to read and interpret contracts, budgets, reports, construction drawings and technical manuals.</li></ul>Other:This position does require a mandatory 4-8 month field training requirement
