Required Qualifications: Minimum of 1 year of emergency nursing experience; New York nursing license in hand; Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certifications; competency in phlebotomy and starting and maintaining intravenous lines; experience with dysrhythmia interpretation and management, blood product administration, central line care, continuous intravenous paralytics and sedation, emergency medications, intravenous vasopressors, procedural sedation, Cerebrovascular Accident (CVA) care, and isolation precautions. The role includes management of patients with multisystem organ dysfunction or failure, emergency medication administration, procedural sedation monitoring, and collaboration with respiratory services, radiology, pharmacy, social services, physical therapy, rapid response teams, interpretation services, intravenous therapy teams, transportation, and unit support staff.
