Nestled within the Gallatin National Forest, Big Sky is a destination for world-class skiing at Big Sky Resort and year-round outdoor recreation including hiking, mountain biking, snowshoeing, horseback riding, snowmobiling, rafting and fishing along the Gallatin River. With approximately 154 licensed beds, it includes a 20-bed critical care unit, operating rooms, 24/7 emergency and trauma care, and a Family Birth Center including Southwest Montanas first neonatal intensive care unit (NICU).
