This role provides consultation services to providers, including pediatricians, family medicine physicians, OB/GYN physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and/or midwives, who need assistance with patient behavioral health concerns, psychiatric consultation, behavioral management plans, or resources with the goal of increasing access to mental health services for mothers, children and adolescents. The Child Psychiatry Access Network (CPAN) and the Perinatal Psychiatry Access Network (PeriPAN) are an interdisciplinary clinical services program intended to offer primary care clinic providers and OBGYNs prompt access to on-call psychiatrists to provide expertise in assessment, treatment, and referrals for pediatric and/or perinatal patients identified as having a mental health challenge.
