Essential Functions: Under the supervision of a Certified School Psychologist, the School Psychology intern will: • Conduct comprehensive evaluations including cognitive, academic, attention, social/emotional, and functional behavior assessments • Provide counseling services • Participate actively in IEP, 504, and MTSS Team meetings in order to produce comprehensive and appropriate educational plans for students • Serve as a liaison between the school, student, parent, and external agencies • Provide crisis intervention for students, which may include risk assessments, safety contracts and social service interventions • Collaborate with parents and teachers, engaging them as partners in the student's intervention • Consult with staff to assist teachers in planning effective educational strategies for all students • Grow and learn in a supportive, collegial environment • Perform other related duties as requested by the supervisor. Job Qualifications: • Be enrolled in a NASP accredited school psychology program • Must be eligible to participate in an internship per the institution • Must pass a background check • Have excellent skills in the areas of teamwork, oral and written communication, and organization • Be in good academic standing and meet all graduate school program criteria to apply for the internship.
