Evaluates each burn and Rehabilitation patient for signs of acute stress disorder and assists with the psycho-social adjustment of the patient and the family by providing services to facilitate the burn patients improved coping with traumatic circumstances of the injury and/or mechanism of onset of new chronic impairments, immediate and long-term medical and psychosocial stressors, and post-discharge adjustment necessary throughout continued recovery and return to the demands of everyday life.
