Provides consultation and training to Primary Care Service Line staff in the identification and management of common mental and behavioral health disorders that present in a primary care setting when indicated; May Supervise social work trainees, and may participate in the supervision of trainees in other disciplines, including medical and psychiatric residents assigned to the Primary Care Service for rotations; Assists PCMHI Supervisor in the design, development, and implementation of clinical programs for a team of treatment providers within PCMHI team. VA Central Iowa Health Care System is a multi-campus health care system, with approximately 1700 employees, providing primary care, acute medicine, surgery, behavioral health, nursing home and domiciliary care located on the main campus in Des Moines Iowa, as well as a staffed Community Based Outreach Clinics in Carroll, Fort Dodge, Knoxville, Mason City, and South Des Moines.
