ul>Work collaboratively with the MH Recovery Court Team partners, including but not limited to: Court Administration, Probation & Pre-Trial Services, County Solicitors, Public Defenders, Court of Common Pleas, District Attorney, Prison, and criminal court personnel; Coordinate communication between the Mental Health Court Team and the Department for planning, problem solving and general communication; Work collaboratively with Chester County law enforcement and Police Chiefs Association to establish partnerships, offer support and training to assist community members experiencing a mental health crisis to connect with community-based services. Develop, implement, and support cross-system collaboration across the criminal justice system to better serve children and adults with serious behavioral and emotional diagnoses through County Mental Health program oversight/monitoring and data tracking/trending analysis that promotes system development and enhancement in collaboration with HealthChoices MCO etc.
The position provides direct clinical services to our undergraduate and graduate student population, including urgent care and crisis intervention, psychological evaluations, time-limited individual and group psychotherapeutic treatment, on call services, campus liaison, mental health education, and community referral services. Be knowledgeable in principles and methodologies (e.g., Plan-Do-Study-Act, Root Cause Analysis, measurement, data collection, and analysis) needed to support and lead Quality Improvement projects and activities and/or willing to attend UHS-based Quality Improvement basic training within first 6-months of hire.
p>The Mental Health Clinician II completes specialized psychological testing and assessment of clinical needs of adults sentenced to the Department of Corrections; arrives at diagnoses with precision and accuracy by the end of psychological testing and the evaluation session; develops treatment plans; and makes clinically based decisions regarding appropriateness for treatment, as well as preferred treatment modality. Under Policy 100.3.1 Immunization Policy for Covered Individuals, if employment will commence during Flu Season, Rutgers University may require certain prospective employees to provide proof that they are vaccinated against Seasonal Influenza for the current Flu Season, unless the University has granted the individual a medical or religious exemption.
