High school students in their junior or senior year; Second, third, or fourth year of undergraduate program, or enrolled in a graduate program, and pursuing a degree focusing on public health, epidemiology, community health, environmental health, or related disciplines; or completion of similar degree within the past 12 months; Valid Indiana Driver’s license and ability to be insured to drive city vehicles except for high school student interns; Attention to detail is required; Ability to work in a team environment; Must exhibit flexibility working with a wide variety of populations and organizations; Must be able to work occasional evening and weekend hours based on business needs. Under the supervision of the Assistant Director, Interns may contribute to projects across community health and outreach, environmental health, epidemiology, emergency preparedness, public health nursing, community support, and health education.
