The Purchasing Specialist is responsible for daily procurement operations and provides administrative and operational support to the Purchasing functions at the College.  The successful candidate will have a High School diploma or equivalent and two years of related experience in purchasing or procurement. Click here. Responsibilities:<ul><li>Manage surplus property auctions, coordinate item pickups, and prepare related reports.</li><li>Support procurement processes by assisting with requisition creation, vendor communication, and ensuring compliance with State and College policies.</li><li>Collaborate with Teaching and Learning stakeholders throughout the major equipment purchasing process, including evaluating options, completing purchases, tracking payments, and assisting with asset tagging.</li><li>Provide administrative support to the Purchasing Manager and contribute to sustainability and cost-saving initiatives.</li><li>Generate and maintain purchasing reports, including monthly summaries for Amazon Business and Public Surplus activity.</li><li>Conduct sourcing and pricing research, including identifying State and Cooperative contract opportunities.</li><li>Assist with formal and informal bids, quotes, and proposal processes by assisting with writing bid specifications for purchasing goods and services (i.e. supplies and equipment).</li><li>Track and reconcile purchasing card transactions and maintain accurate vendor documentation.</li><li>Monitor and restock supply cabinets across campuses, ensuring availability of essential office supplies.</li><li>Maintain organized electronic filing systems for purchasing records, spreadsheets, and databases.</li></ul>Experience & Qualifications(in addition to those listed in the summary above):<ul><li>Knowledge of software applications, including Microsoft Office 365 (Office Suite, Teams, SharePoint, etc.).</li><li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills to communicate clearly and effectively with end users, colleagues, and management to provide a complete and timely explanation of issues and decisions to ensure customer satisfaction.</li><li>Ability to take initiative, work independently with little supervision and make sound decisions with minimal direction.</li><li>Strong web-based research skills for sourcing and pricing.</li><li>Strong organizational and time management skills, including the ability to prioritize special projects with routine assignments.</li><li>Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external customers. We are looking to fill a full time Senior Buyer position with a manufacturer located in the general area of Monroe, WI. Salary Range:  $75k to $80k DOE.  Relocation assistance is available. Position Overview: Under the supervision of the Controller: sources, negotiates, buys, and expedites raw material, maintenance parts, shop supplies, capital improvements and all other non-essential supplies at the lowest possible cost consistent with accepted standards of quality and service within established time frames. Duties and Responsibilities: ·       Source and procure raw materials, shop supplies and maintenance parts necessary for production, considering price, quality and delivery. ·       Enter in all purchase orders into the Odyssey system. ·       Receive all incoming material into the Odyssey system. ·       Maintain Capital projects folders. ·       Work with the Quality department on new materials to be sampled, sample paperwork is on file in the purchasing department. ·       Maintain all IATF files pertaining to the purchasing department, supplier surveys, supplier certifications, on time deliveries. ·       Work with corporate purchasing on new suppliers and new part number entries. ·       Report to the corporate purchasing department on monthly cost savings. ·       Enter all month end inventories into the system for all departments, turn in a monthly scrap report to corporate, along with copies of invoices for surcharges on raw materials. ·       Maintain relationships with supply base. ·       Helps with 5S Auditing, monthly LPA audit and EHS observations/weekly audit. ·       Additional duties may be required. <div> </div>
