Key ResponsibilitiesOversee quality assurance activities across steel fabrication, assembly and powder coat operationsConduct first article inspections (FAI), in-process inspections, and final product checksInterpret and apply GD&T principles on fabricated parts and engineering drawingsLead root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action (CAPA) for non-conformancesDevelop and update quality documentation, including inspection plans, work instructions, and control plansMonitor key quality metrics and participate in continuous improvement projectsCollaborate with manufacturing engineers to improve processes and reduce scrap/reworkFinalize the systems and processes (QMS) to achieve and sustain ISO 9001:2015Monitor and support department activities for ISO 9001:2015, including internal and external audits Work closely with suppliers and customers to address quality concerns and drive resolutionGenerate specifications, validation plans, and acceptance criteria for new products, materials, and processesWork closely with production, engineering, and operations teams to support continuous improvement initiativesOther duties as assignedQualificationsBachelor's degree in Quality, Industrial, or Mechanical Engineering-or equivalent experience3+ years of quality engineering experience in a metal fabrication or similar environmentProficient in reading blueprints and technical drawings with GD&TStrong analytical and problem-solving skills. You'll work closely with production, engineering, and quality teams to maintain process control, reduce variation, and continuously improve the product lifecycle.
