Lead RF Technician RTX CorpLead RF TechnicianColumbia, MDp>• Experience in rapid prototyping and hardware integration • Experience reading and interpreting electrical and mechanical drawings and schematics to identify producibility issues • Experience working with optical fiber fusion splicers and fiber splicing including SSMF, PMF and ribbon fibers • Experience potting RF or Photonic systems • Familiarity with 3D drawing and CAD tools • Experienced with test equipment commonly used for characterization of photonic and RF components and assemblies including, but not limited to, optical power meters, optical spectrum analyzers, electrical spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, and electrical voltage and current sources and meters. • Experience with test data recording and analysis using required software tools and able to generate documentation and presentation of test results • Experience in assembly and testing fiber-optic and electro-optic systems, and knowledge of associated optical and RF component technologies • Experience with soldering and rework of circuit card assemblies • Experience soldering surface mount components • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a team environment.
RADIO TECHNICIAN III State of MarylandRADIO TECHNICIAN IIIMDThis position is a full performance level of technical work involving the installation, repair and maintenance of radio transmitters, receivers, communication sub-systems, audio transport networks (microwave, Fiber optic & Il), voice logging recorders and other related communication equipment, as well as performing the same activities with speed control devices, in-car camera systems and body worn cameras in accordance with Federal Communications Commission (FCC) regulations. Installation, removals, maintenance/repair of conventional base stations, consolette transceivers, antenna & combiner systems, interoperability subsystems, audio transport technology systems such as microwave, Tl/Ethernet, T1/DSO equipment and fiber optics located at remote tower sites and other agency facilities across the State along with any auxiliary equipment associated to each of the above systems.
