Job Opportunity – Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (CICU) RN – North Carolina**Start Date:** October 11, 2026 **Location:** Asheville, North Carolina **Compensation:** Details provided to qualified applicants **Schedule:** 36 hours per week, 12-hour shifts, alternating weekends**Highlights:**- 16-bed Cardiac Intensive Care Unit within a 815-bed Level II trauma center recognized as one of America's Top 50 Hospitals and Magnet-designated facility- Patient ratios of 2:1 or 1:1 (occasionally 3:1 depending on acuity) with RN-only staffing model- Advanced cardiac technology including IABP, Impella, CRRT, hypothermia therapy, and comprehensive hemodynamic monitoring- Cerner documentation system; experience with vents, trachs, telemetry interpretation, and cardiovascular procedures- Regional referral center for comprehensive cardiac care including busiest robotic surgery program in the Carolinas and only open heart program in the region- Exposure to advanced procedures including cardioversion, central line insertion, EGD, bronchoscopy, and chest tube insertions**Requirements:**- Current RN license in North Carolina- ICU experience required with demonstrated competency in titration of vesicant medications, pressors, sedation, and paralytics- Strong experience with ventilators, tracheostomies, telemetry interpretation, and hemodynamic monitoring- Understanding of PA catheter setup and interpretation- CCRN certification preferred; IABP, Impella, and CRRT experience highly desirable**Why It's a Great Opportunity:**Join a nationally recognized, Magnet-designated facility that has earned top honors for clinical quality and patient safety.
