collect & documenting patient history; perform screenings per provider guidelines; assist provider with various procedures; sterilization, instrument wrapping and autoclaving; checking vital signs; prescription verifications with provider's orders; apply dressings; biohazard waste disposal and monitoring; therapeutic modalities; instruct patients with assistive devices, body mechanics, and home care; laboratory procedures; quality control methods; capillary punctures and venipuncture; specimen handling; emergency triage and first aid; Send/receive patient medical records; complete forms/requisitions as needed; schedule appointments; verify insurance coverage and patient demographics; assist in answering phone calls; manage and update charts to ensure that information is complete and filed appropriately; work with third party representatives to ensure appropriate stock of DME, supplies and samples for the office. Operate all imaging equipment in the prescribed manner to provide high quality diagnostic images, including but not limited to utilizing proper technique, proper positioning of patient for procedure, collimating, shielding, use of lead markers, and the immobilization of the patient using instruction and/or equipment developed for this purpose; Perform clinical responsibilities including biohazard waste monitoring; quality control methods; provide pre-exam instructions, verifies patient/caregiver understanding of instructions; Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS) scans patient reports; maintain film files.
