Demonstrates positioning competency • Operates the mammography and ultrasound equipment with skills to identify and record anatomical, pathological, diagnostic information, ensuring high quality images are produced • Adheres to radiation safety guidelines and maintains a safe working environment • Provides appropriate patient education, ensures patient comfort, and addresses concerns • Practices appropriate infection control and sterile techniques • Thoroughly and accurately completes all required documentation, record patient information, procedures performed and any adverse reactions • Follows protocols, coding, charging, consents, QC programs, and reporting equipment failures. As a Mammography Technologist and Breast Sonographer at Intermountain Health, you will play a vital role in supporting our clinical team, ensuring our patients receive the best care by: • Maintains American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or modality-specific competency in all clinical and technical functions • Ensures proper patient identification, orders verification, and prepares the patient for the exam • Performs radiologic breast imaging exams per department protocol including Breast Ultrasound and advanced Mammography procedures like stereotactic biopsies, Ultrasound core biopsies, clip placements, drainages, etc.
