p/>At NewYork-Presbyterian Queens, our Nuclear Medicine department is at the forefront of innovation—playing a vital role in diagnosing, managing, and treating serious conditions. Our newly renovated suite features two state-of-the-art gamma cameras and supports nearly 3,000 procedures annually.
In this role, you will operate CT equipment and apply your knowledge of Radiology Information Systems, PACSs, and digital data transfer processes, under the direction of a radiologist and the supervision of a department supervisor. While this is a technical position with no supervisory responsibility, you will play a critical role in maintaining our premier level of quality, in support of a world-class clinical team.
They prepare patients for the procedure, position patients with considerations for safety and image accuracy, ensure proper imaging protocols are followed, and work closely with radiologists to obtain high-quality images for accurate diagnosis. Technical/Motor Skills - Must have the ability to grasp, perform fine manipulation, push/pull, and move about when assisting with procedures and/or using department equipment .
Prepare and operate advanced radiologic equipment to capture high-quality diagnostic images according to physician orders Maintain equipment and sterilize the room in which procedure takes place Evaluate images for quality, present images and preliminary findings to physicians and health care team Maintain and inspect imaging equipment for proper functionality, troubleshooting issues and reporting malfunctions as needed Document all imaging procedures and technical details accurately in patient records Follow hospital safety rules and procedures including infection control and radiation safety protocols Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of Radiologic Technologist practice The ability to read, write, and communicate in the English language Physical Abilities - Must be able to remain in a stationary position, move about, move equipment (50-100lbs), push, pull, and bend Technical/Motor Skills - Must have the ability to grasp, perform fine manipulation, push/pull, and move about when assisting with procedures and/or using department equipment Mental Requirements - Must be able to cope with frequent contact with the general public and customers while meeting deadlines under pressure. li>ARRT certification and registration in Computed Tomography (CT) or current NMTCB (CT) certification, or, if not currently held, must satisfy the applicable eligibility requirements and obtain CT certification within six (6) months of hire or transfer. In this role, you will operate CT equipment and apply your knowledge of Radiology Information Systems, PACSs, and digital data transfer processes, under the direction of a radiologist and the supervision of a department supervisor.
p>As a valued member of our team, you'll operate advanced X-ray equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images under the direction of a radiologist and supervision of a department leader. We perform digital general X-ray and fluoroscopy procedures using four state-of-the-art digital X-ray units, including those in the Emergency Department and a dedicated orthopedic suite.

American Registry of Radiological Technologists (ARRT) registered in Radiologic Technology and Mammography (required). Graduate of approved school of Radiology (required).
