li>State of Washington certification as Mammography Technologist and American Registry of Mammography Technologists (AART-M) registration by date of hire or will train radiology technician with two (2) years experience. Essential Responsibilities:

• Diagnostic Testing: Performs mammography images through clinical protocols and positions patient to best demonstrates anatomic area of interest, respecting comfort and ability.

Placement on the faculty salary schedule will commensurate with educational background and experience per the Faculty Negotiated Agreement (Article 4.00 Academic Employee Compensation ).

They prepare patients for the procedure, position patients with considerations for safety and image accuracy, ensure proper imaging protocols are followed, and work closely with radiologists to obtain high-quality images for accurate diagnosis.

If selected, you'll be responsible for performing diagnostic mammograms (at least 80% of the time) as well as assisting physicians with diagnostic procedures, including either stereotactic biopsies or ultrasound guided procedures, in accordance with department policy and procedure. For jobs with more than one level, the posted range reflects the minimum of the lowest level and the maximum of the highest level.

Must have completed didactic training to include 40 initial mamography education hours and 8 hours of digital breast tomography prior to start date.

A Mammography Technologist in the Breast Center is responsible for performing screening mammograms and providing exceptional patient care.
