This role requires 90% travel. In this capacity, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following: <ul><li style="margin-bottom:0in">General construction knowledge </li><li style="margin-bottom:0in">Research plans, specification, material testing procedures and local agency requirements</li><li style="margin-bottom:0in">Prepare and maintain daily and periodic documentation and records throughout the project</li><li style="margin-bottom:0in">Visits to project sites to inspect and document field work performed </li><li style="margin-bottom:0in">Preparation of technical reports</li><li style="margin-bottom:0in">Provide observation and inspection of the construction work and contractor operations</li><li style="margin-bottom:0in">Maintains the daily log of construction and inspection activities and compares progress reports</li><li style="margin-bottom:0in">Maintains construction safety practices and work methods for compliance </li></ul>:

Job Description:  We are currently seeking a Welder/Fabricator for our railroad car repair department. Previous railroad experience is preferred but we will train the right individual !! A qualified candidate would preferably have a background in welding and metal fabrication / assembly. Our employees work with standard metal working equipment such as welders, grinders, torches, and various hand tools normally inside a shop setting. This position involves occasional travel and possible rotations onto a night shift.  Night shift rotation is mandatory for all employees but shall not exceed 30 days 330 pm - 230 am 4 nights per week.  Night shift pays an additional $.92 per hour and has 3-day weekends every weekend.    Job Perks:      <ul><li>Pay up to $31.50 per hour </li><li>Hourly base 40 hr/week ($60K) plus occasional overtime 10-20 hrs/week </li><li>Generous company paid 401(k) retirement profit sharing </li><li>Annual cash bonuses  </li><li>Benefit package includes health, dental, disability, vision, long and short term disability </li></ul>Job Duties:  Fabricators will be given individual projects on a daily basis and are expected to work individually or with a partner depending on the given project.
