The Real Estate Analyst Intern will gain hands-on exposure to evaluating residential investment properties and supporting underwriting and research processes. Our team works with investors, property owners, and operators across multiple markets to evaluate and execute real estate transactions.
This includes, but is not limited to, acquisitions across BCRE Fund I ($1.5 billion, 2018 vintage), BCRE Fund II ($3.0 billion, 2020 vintage), the BCRE Life Science Fund (~$800 million, 2021 vintage), and BCRE Fund III (Raise completed in 2025, 2023 vintage) value add-plus real estate funds focused predominantly on thematic investments in North America. As part of Bain Capital, the real estate team leverages the collective scale, experience, and network of the firm's global platform to augment sourcing efforts as well as to deepen insights and understanding of underlying secular themes driving demand and changing customer needs and desires across sectors germane to its current portfolio as well as future investment themes.
li> Synthesize all gathered information and draft the market study report for assigned properties – this includes but is not limited to drawing the primary market area, identifying appropriate property comparables to be included, and completing a demand analysis.
Prepare formal loan submissions for lenders by drafting quotes for the business and credit teams, adding quotes to the internal tracking system (Salesforce), preparing loan applications, drafting internal approval memos, following up on outstanding business, addressing internal reporting needs, and reviewing loan servicing data. This individual possesses extensive experience in real estate transactions, including conducting due diligence, valuing properties, sizing loans, and managing key processes to ensure successful transaction closings.
