Associate’s degree in early childhood education and six units in administration and supervision, or a bachelor’s degree in early childhood education, child development, human development, liberal studies or a related field with the 12 core units in early childhood education and 6 units in administration and supervision; Three years of relevant experience working in a childcare facility, with at least one year in lead or assistant lead capacity. Program activities may require sitting, standing, walking on level and slippery surfaces, reaching, twisting, turning, kneeling, bending, stooping, squatting, crouching, grasping, and making repetitive hand movement in the performance of daily duties; the ability to lift, carry, and push tools, equipment, and supplies weighing up to 40 pounds or heavier weights with assistance and/or the use of proper equipment.
