ul>Staffs the front desk at the Recreation Center, handling a wide array of questions, issues and functions by responding to customer inquiries complaints and special request; Accept, receive, and/or collect payments for services; Prepares the gymnasium and sets up or assists in setting up classes and other special events; Responds professionally to questions, complaints and inquires by phone, email and in person; Ensures all rules, regulations, and safety policies are properly enforced; Trains part-time and seasonal staff and oversees the work of part-time and seasonal staff assigned to the front desk; Promotes and sells memberships and handles facility rentals; Performs light cleaning and straightening functions, including spot cleaning during the day to handle spills and other hazardous situations; Assists other full-time staff with various projects, Works weekends and holidays as needed; and. Skill/Ability to: operate multi-media equipment such as projectors and audio/video equipment; oversee and motivate part-time and season employees and volunteers; operate a variety of office equipment including but not limited to computer, fax, and copier; experience in using computer programs such as Excel, Word, Outlook, and a specific payment and reservation systems; and demonstrate proficiency in oral and written communication.
