The incumbent is responsible for overseeing and inspecting portions of the design and construction, such as bridges, retaining walls, Mechanically Stabilized Earth (MSE) walls, and other structures, including guideways, drainage, concrete and asphalt pavement, embankments, barriers, utilities, traffic control, striping and signs, sidewalks, railroad, and other civil work for the complex Construction Package mega-project, including overseeing the Design Build (DB) contractor's efficient design and construction of a quality facility within the project's cost, scope, and schedule. The position involves exposure to night work, field work, earthwork, paving operations, lab work, fog, weather conditions, chemicals, lab conditions, equipment, machinery, heat, cold, dust, gas, fumes, outdoor conditions, indoor conditions, humidity, and high noise levels.
