These ambitious staff members are responsible for organizing one-time events designed to offer simple Girl Scout activities, boost community awareness, and strengthen Girl Scouts' position as community leaders in their local area.This may include nurturing leads, assisting with event scheduling, and supporting our newest members through their placement in a local troop or the start of a new troop. With a focus on membership recruitment and retention in their assigned area, the Community Recruiter works collaboratively with all staff to ensure potential members are supported, and volunteers are prepared to deliver a high-quality Girl Scout Leadership Experience. This position's responsibilities are performed inside and outside of the office. Flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, are required along with extensive travel up to 70 miles one way from the employee's work location.Hourly Rate: $19.00-$19.50 (position works 20-25 hours per week). The Manager will partner directly with his/her Restaurant and General Manager and will receive market level support from his/her Human Resource Manager and Field Training Manager / Coordinator to meet the business and strategic objectives of the organization. The Manager is a business partner accountable for leading the Restaurant Associate team to deliver Steak ‘n Shake operational and financial standards on each scheduled shift as well as building a well cross trained staff within the Restaurant. The Manager is responsible for assessing Associates performance to identify opportunities and coach for improvement. This position has accountability on his/her shift for the correct delivery of steak ‘n Shake procedures, policies and specification which deliver the Steak ‘n Shake Vision and Mission. L.E.A.R.N.</li><li>Ensure Guests are immediately recognized upon entering and as they are leaving</li><li>Motivate all Associates to deliver great hospitality toward all guests and other associates</li><li>Create a positive team environment with knowledgeable associates working together through shift huddles and ongoing coaching</li></ul> Brand Protection: Operating in accordance with our Quality, Service and Cleanliness Standards (QSC) and other food safety practices, delighting our Guest with outstanding fresh food and training our valuable people.<ul><li>Execute the 14-point walk using the “Three in One” tool?” ensuring the facility is radiant, the associates are motivated, the stations are appropriately set up / re-stocked for meal periods, and constantly moving through the restaurant coaching the directing associates to ensure quality adherence and speed standards are achieved</li><li>Interview candidates using the Select the Best 1st interview guide and recommend enthusiastic / Guest centric candidates to the General Manager for employment</li><li>Ensure associates are effectively trained using the Steak ‘n Shake training program, Earning your Wings</li><li>Monitor food quality, portioning and speed from the EXPO window and resolve any issues immediately</li><li>Assign and verify all side work is accurately and efficiently completed</li><li>Verify accurate adherence to the Prep and Pull and cooling charts as well as complete HACCP and line checks on assigned shift ensuring food quality and quantity</li><li>Ensure all Safely procedures and policies are strictly adhered to</li></ul> Financial Growth: Manage profitable shifts focused on delighting our guests, increasing quality and reducing prices.<ul><li>Deploy associates appropriately as planned on the Schedule and Line up sheets</li><li>Ensure appropriate staffing levels of well-trained associates on assigned shifts</li><li>Complete shift and daily inventory and accurately post into the back office POS System</li><li>Check in food delivery, ensure proper storage and post-delivery into the POS</li><li>Complete food order based on commissary order guide and enter into ordering system</li><li>Maintain strict adherence to cash handling and banking policies and procedures</li><li>Complete shift tools and administration duties as assigned by General Manager</li></ul> Primary & Ongoing Accountabilities:<ul><li>Effectively Manager a Steak ‘n Shake Shift</li><li>Execute the 14 point walk and correct deficiencies as they arise</li><li>Ensure food is properly stored and prepared in compliance with food safety regulations and recipe adherence</li><li>Ensure service, hospitality, accuracy and speed standards are achieved</li><li>Maintain strict compliance with health, safety and security standards and procedures</li><li>Train, coach and inspire Associates to deliver exceptional service, food quality and environment to the Steak ‘n Shake was founded in February, 1934 in Normal, Illinois. Gus Belt, Steak ‘n Shake’s founder, pioneered the concept of premium burgers and milk shakes.

For over 80 years, the company’s name has been symbolic of its heritage. The word “steak” stood for STEAKBURGER. The term “shake” stood for hand-dipped MILK SHAKES. Gus was determined to serve his customers the finest burgers and shakes in the business. To prove his point that his burgers were exceptionally prime, he would wheel in a barrel of steaks (including round, sirloin, and T-bones) and grind the meat into burgers right in front of the guests. Hence arose the origin of our famous slogan, “In Sight It Must Be Right.”

After 80 years, we are continuing Steak n Shake’s tradition of serving the country’s best, freshest, and tastiest burgers and shakes.
