The HR Supervisor helps drive HR strategies and initiatives that foster a high-performance culture focused on quality, productivity, accountability, goal achievement, and the recruitment, retention, and continuous development of a highly skilled workforce. This role provides guidance and support on a wide range of human resources matters while assisting the Director of Human Resources in ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.

Position Summary:The HR Supervisor serves as the primary leader within the Human Resources department, communicating policies, procedures, and applicable state and federal regulations to HR staff and employees. This role provides guidance and support on a wide range of human resources matters while assisting the Director of Human Resources in ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements. The HR Supervisor helps drive HR strategies and initiatives that foster a high-performance culture focused on quality, productivity, accountability, goal achievement, and the recruitment, retention, and continuous development of a highly skilled workforce.Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.<ul><li>Promote and maintain a positive work environment that supports employee morale, engagement, and company culture.</li><li>Supervises, trains and supports HR team members</li><li>Partner with leadership to support organizational goals, workforce planning, and talent strategies.</li><li>Lead recruitment, onboarding, employee development, and retention initiatives.</li><li>Support managers with performance management processes, employee coaching, and performance reviews.</li><li>Manage employee relations matters including investigations, conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and terminations.</li><li>Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, as well as company policies and industry standards.</li><li>Oversee workplace safety initiatives including OSHA compliance, safety training, workers' compensation claims, and required reporting.</li><li>Maintain OSHA records, postings, and documentation in accordance with regulatory requirements.</li><li>Collaborate with leadership to identify opportunities for organizational improvement and employee development.</li><li>Keep the Director of Human Resources informed of significant personnel matters and organizational concerns requiring escalation.</li><li>Serve as a trusted resource for employees and managers regarding HR policies, procedures, and best practices.</li></ul>QualificationsTo perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.<ul><li>Computer literacy in word processing and spreadsheet programs.</li><li>Read, write and speak English fluently.</li><li>In depth knowledge of clerical and organizational techniques.</li><li>Work under time and budgetary pressures.</li><li>Work well in a team environment, demonstrate good communication skills, maintain a positive attitude and willingness to learn.</li></ul>Education and/or Experience:<ul><li>Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.</li><li>Minimum of 3–5 years of progressive HR experience preferred.</li><li>1-2 years of supervisory/lead experience</li><li>Knowledge of employment law, HR best practices, OSHA regulations, and workplace safety standards.</li><li>Strong communication, leadership, initiative, problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills.</li><li>Ability to manage confidential information with professionalism and discretion.</li><li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HRIS systems preferred.</li></ul>Physical Demands Include:<ul><li>Sitting, standing, and walking.</li><li>Use of hands and arms to operate office equipment.</li><li>Being able to see (20/25 vision with glasses, 20/25 without) and hear (with mechanical assistance if necessary) sufficient to understand and comprehend individual one-on-one conversations.</li></ul>Work Environment:This person will work in an office which is a temperature controlled environment with moderate noise. There will be outside time spent in the manufacturing environment. This setting involves manufacturing equipment with others working in close proximity. PRIMARY FUNCTION: Perform general support and assistance to the Human Resources team. Serve as a liaison to all employees for Human Resources support. PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: + Complete weekly payroll processes for union and office employees, including processing and correcting errors. + Serve as a primary contact for Corporate teams as needed for related payroll activities. + Provide system setup and training for the time tracking system. + Provide timely customer service in response to questions from employees. + Ensure data integrity and confidentiality with human resources records, including employee and organizational data, in electronic and paper formats. + Manage the union benefit plan administration including open enrollment and employee requests. + Manage the bid job process for hourly production union jobs. + Coordinate employee relations events. + Participate in the talent acquisition process as assigned, including onboarding responsibilities. + Serve as liaison between the organization and external vendors, including supply vendors and benefit plan providers. Create PO’s upon request and process timely requests for payment from vendors. + Maintain HR intranet site and digital HR boards. + Function as the lead on assigned Human Resources related project work. + Apply labor relations contract language to HR processes with a high degree of accuracy. + Assign and monitor completion of employee training. + Identify process improvements and lead change to increase efficiencies. + Create timely and accurate routine reports for internal and external customers. + Coordinate the annual vacation planning process for both unions. + Other duties as assigned. EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: + Certificate or Associates degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience, in human resources, business, communication or management required. + Bachelor's degree in human resources, business, communication or management preferred. + Minimum of 2 years related experience required.
