Manages the payroll process for the medical group, to include: ensures that employees are paid timely and correctly; supervises staff involved in payroll process; develops and ensures consistent application of payroll policies; establishes employees in the payroll system; provides new employees instructions on payroll system access; functions as payroll system super-user for medical group's payroll system, ADP; works with vendor to configure system for optimized performance for the medical group; ensures that all employee payroll changes (tax withholding changes, ) are documented and implemented; ensures payroll taxes are filed in a timely manner; ensures paychecks are delivered in a timely and accurate manner, whether direct deposit or physical checks; investigates and explains discrepancies; evaluates and corrects payroll issues and problems; ensures that garnishments and other wage orders are valid, comply with such orders and remit payment; calculates and writes special checks for shortages, terminations, etc.
